Shrew stepped into the beautiful clearing, it's grace capturing her senses once more and her breath stopping for a moment. She tried to come back to herself, and when she had she walked gracefully toward the river. The clearing had an aura about it, it made someone want to be poetic and graceful. She knelt to the ground, gracefully of course, and cupped her hands in the water. She brought the water to her mouth and it flowed throughout her body. She did this many times, then laid down on her back on the river banks to soak up the sun.

Fire Foot
I walked down the bank to get a drink from the stream. As I was drinking I saw a human lieing on the other side. What could be wrong with her? I walked up to the human and poked her with my nose. My turtle friend wandered over to the human, too.

Shrew's eyes popped open with surprise as she looked up to see a pearly white stallion poking her with his nose. She laughed, but didn't forget the danger of stallions. Slowly and holding her hand out to his nostrils so he could get her scent, she stood and smiled at him warmly. She also noticed a large turtle hobbling along towards them, and wondered if the two were friends.

I jumped back, and looked at her. Then I reached out my to smell her hand. Mr. T wandered over to us and smelled her foot. Humans. They smell odd, look odd, and act oddly. The fine horses that they enslave seem to like being told what to by a bunch of hairless meat-eaters. I shall never know why theses thing are.

Shrew smiled again at the curious horse sniffing her hand, now not feeling a bit of fear. She knew all wild horses were dangerous, Bolt had made sure she had known that, but this horse had something about him that made her totally at ease. She slowly lifted the hand he was sniffing, and reached out to stroke his head softly, wondering how he would react. She then noticed the turtle sniffing her foot, and made sure she stifled her histeric laughter so as not to scare the animals.

I let the human pet me. I looked down at the turtle. He was now standing and staring off into space, like he always did.

Shrew stared at the stallion's white body, his pale skin. She looked him in the eye for a moment, as a meaning of trust, not hatred. She smiled and watched the turtle for a while, the creature seemed bored with her. Suddenly an idea popped into her head. Bolt hasn't been around for a long time... most likely she never will come. Maybe I could clame this stallion for my own? Train him? To test his trust of her and to ratio his tameness to wildness, she reached into her pocket, searching for the carrot she always carried with her. She held it out to his nostrils so he could get the sweet scent of it, and began to jog down the shoreline of the river. Would he follow her?

A screech was released from his vocals as his legs & arms took him wildly trhough the trees, throwing him out of a tree & landing onto the hard ground below, in a clearing. Large opticals scanned upon the land-scap, until they stopped on three creatures: a human, a turtle, & a giant animal of some sort. What is that? he wondered, eyeing the horse for a moment. Slowly, he stood on his hind legs & began to slighlt walk towards them, having to lean over every so often to correct his balance. Finally, he came upon the turtle. He knew them to be a non-agressive creatures, for he hade always been able to lye on their backs on sunbath sometimes during the day if he were on the beach. Slolwy, he climbed a top the turtle, scketching his finger tips slightly over each pattern of the turtle's shell. He liked the fell of them, yet he didn't know why.

Shrew continued to run, though she droppped the carrot. She never was one for running back home, unless it was on horseback, but this sudden excersize felt good. She spread out her arms and let her head fall back, soaking up the sunshine and the happiness that was radiating off of her. After she reached the waterfall at the head of the river, she turned around and looked back at the stallion and the turtle. A fit of giggles burst out of her as she saw that the lemur from before was sitting atop the turtle's shell!

Eon watched silently at the women, a little confused at why she hade took off running for no particular reason, & why she hade dropped carrot. Slowly, h leapt forward, examining the taller animal that stood on four limps. His small eyes examined it, still in awe at what it was & why it was here. He hade neverone seen an animal like it on this island before in his life, & he hade lived here a pretty long time, & hade met every creature known on this island.

Falcon gracefuly stepped into the clearing, her her forlock drapped down her face and over her eyes. Her hoofs makeing a quiet thuding sound as she made her way over to the other creatures, she stopped and cocked her head, she saw a human, a horse, and some new kind of animal. She lowered her head and beared her teeth.

Shrew gasped when she saw Falcon, the mare who had let her ride her, enter the clearing. She was shocked when the mare bared her teeth, but then remembered that Shrew was the only human the mare had warmed up to. She smiled and waved to the mare, picking up the carrot and holding it out as a peace offering. Hey girl... She cooed, hoping she wouldn't scare Falcon, and shot the other stallion a look that said, Stand still and be quiet. Then she imagined the stallion and Falcon becoming mates... how wonderful that would be! A young foal on the island, a foal she could train forever...

[glow=red,2,300]She jumped and then quickly spun around to see Shrew, she cocked her head as she thought about it, quickly she changed her mind, took a step back and made a sound that was almost similar to a growl, she watched her, eyeing the carrot she held[/glow]

Shrew watched Falcon, suddenly deciding to make no sudden movements. What had happened that changed this spunky mare so much? Then she remembered that when she was in need of a calming method with Bolt, she had sung and the mare was like putty in her hands. Well, tough putty anyway... She started to sing the first song that popped into her head, and hoped it would help. As I go down to the river to pray, studying about that good old way and who shall wear, the robe and crown, Oh Lord, show me the way. She raised her eyebrows when she finished a verse, and waited for Falcon's response.

I stood there, about ready to warn the mare.
